Badgers vs. TCU Tailgates at the Rose Bowl

The Rose Bowl is an annual American college football bowl game played on January 1st, New Years Day, featuring two of college football’s best teams. This year, the Big 10 Co-Champion University of Wisconsin Badgers will take on the at-large bid Texas Christian University Horned Frogs at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

In the spirit of the game, we found out what both teams’ fans like to eat at their Game Day tailgate parties.

Badgers fans like to get ready for the big game by eating bratwurst, Wisconsin cheese curds and chicken wings. Bratwurst, also known as “Wisconsin’s Soul Food”, is a German sausage best enjoyed grilled with onions and mustard on top. Beer is also a large part of the Badger fans’ football tradition, especially when it comes from famous Wisconsin breweries including Miller Brewery, New Glarus Brewing Company, and Capital Brewery.

Horned Frogs fans also love grilling on the barbecue as a Game Day tailgate tradition, but also always have some tortilla roll-ups and nachos with cheese sauce nearby. Texan barbecue is a famous crowd favorite, especially when it’s served with a healthy helping of BBQ sauce and spices. One fact about these fans is that they are all about sauces that top their food. In fact, TCU las its own officially licensed hot sauce, picante sauce, and BBQ sauce that you can buy on their website!

CaterBid wishes the best of luck to both teams and is looking forward to a great game!
