Registered users create and post a special event in three easy steps using CaterBid's customized templates. Caterers in the event's surrounding area are instantly notified of your event and can generate competing bids to service your event. When you've found the package that's right for you, you accept the winning bid. Whether you're planning a business or social gathering, you choose the caterer of your choice with exceptional value!
In order to post an event, you must be a registered user of CaterBid.com. This provides us with your contact information so we can keep you updated as caterers bid on your event. Your privacy is important to us, so we do not provide caterers with any of your contact details until after you have successfully accepted a bid.
From the home page, select either the "Get Started" button or "Plan Your Event" for Step 1 of the event planning process. It takes between 10 to 15 minutes to complete the form and post your event out for bid. If you have very specific requirements, please detail them in the description box during Step 1. This allows caterers to review all of your needs to meet your expectations.
Once you post your event, you will receive an e-mail from CaterBid.com confirming that your event has been posted for caterers to bid on. Please make sure you add @CaterBid.com to your safe senders list. If you do not see an e-mail from us confirming your event, please check your spam filter/folder.

If you need to change information about your event, the existing event can be updated by logging into your account, select that event that you need to update, and click "Edit Event". This updates your event, but all existing bids for the event are cancelled.

In the event planning industry, timing is essential. Caterers submitting bids on CaterBid.com, want your business, are creating very competitive offers to you and can service your event when their bid is submitted to you. If they receive a competing booking during your open bid period, they may withdraw their bid package to you. In addition, if you do not select a winner within 24 hours after your event bid period has ended, all bids become null and void. So if there is a bid package that is very attractive to you, you can end your open bid period by accepting a bid at any time during the open bid period
